Who is Beena?:
Retired radiologist, wife, mother, chef,  lover of everything food, wine and travel

Why we love Beena:
After retiring from her medical practice, Beena searched for a way to actively support her belief in the importance of education and became involved with Teach for America.  She was greatly inspired by Teach for America's teachers - top grads from America's premiere universities who donate 2 years of their lives to teaching students in underperforming schools.  Beena is now teaching 10th grade math with Teach for America in hopes that she can help Miami's youth experience the life enriching opportunities that her own education provided her.
